PROJECT: The West Side Festival was in need of a little brand refinement and a clearer vision; as well as a new logo, design work, and marketing assistance.
SUMMARY: I created a color palette, new logo, and t-shirt design. I also helped implement a new social media strategy that would help spread the word about the annual festival. Each week, a new vendor was highlighted in the Facebook feed through a short interactive video to help boost engagement with the community. This created a bit of a buzz among festival goers and potential vendors. During the festival, I captured some images and worked as a volunteer to help things run smoothly.
MISSION: The West Side Festival highlights Salt Lake City's west side communities, businesses, entrepreneurs, and families through the culinary and creative arts.
AUDIENCE: Calling all artisans, musicians, and small business owners! If you live or work on the West Side of Salt Lake City and are looking for a free local event that will inspire your friends and family to come out and support them, you are eligible to apply! Participating in this event will expose you and your work to thousands of festival-goers each year.
